Experienced Mountain bike trail contractors were invited to put forward a bid for the Design & Construction of two new mountain bike trails on the picturesque Glenlivet Estate in Moray, Scotland. Having successfully led the Design and Tender team, my role then changed to Project Manager, for the Design & Construct Contractor, coordinating all design, construction and commercial aspects of this prestigious contract for the Crown Estate. The trails are a mix of existing forest track and newly built single track. The Blue Graded Trail (Carn Meilich) is 10km & the Red Graded track ( Carn Daimh) is just over 20km. The trails are part of a wider £500,000 project, led by The Crown Estate, including the development of a mountain bike centre as well as the two new MTB trails in the Carn Daimh Forest, near Tomintoul.
